At Strata, we believe in delivering lasting community benefits that go beyond just housing.
This year, we formalized our commitment to the community through a Social Value Framework. This framework ensures that every initiative delivers meaningful value, from school outreach and charitable giving to team wellbeing initiatives. We are also focused on developing the next generation of talent through direct trainees and apprentices, as well as supply chain apprentices.
Our work includes a planned launch of new initiatives with local education providers. We also host supplier events, launch volunteering hours for our team, and work to build systems for better data and deeper accountability.
Objectives
Reflecting our HEART values, the framework outlines six key objectives:
- Strengthen community relationships through meaningful engagement to create sustainable neighbourhoods for the future.
- Positively impact local economies through both Strata’s activities and our supply chain.
- Inspire and upskill the next generation by partnering with local educational institutions on engagement and development programs.
- Support existing community groups and organizations, helping them deliver even more value.
- Align with local strategic priorities to ensure our efforts support what matters most to the communities we serve.
- Respect the planet by helping to build sustainable, resilient communities that live in harmony with the natural environment.
We've also established new processes to ensure we not only deliver social value but also track, measure, and report on our impact. This allows us to grow, evolve, and demonstrate our results over time.

Embedding Social Value into Every Project
To ensure our Social Value Plans are tailored to each community and maximize impact, we have integrated a set of guiding questions into our project planning process. These help us stay focused and accountable:
- Why? Why is social value important for this project?
- Who? Who are the priority stakeholders and community members?
- What? What are the specific needs of this community?
- How and When? How will we deliver value throughout the project lifecycle, and when will this take place?
- Which? Which outcomes and metrics will we use to measure success?

Community Engagement
Community engagement is at the heart of everything we do at Strata. While a key part of our work is creating homes and spaces that communities need, we also prioritize giving back in ways that go beyond our developments.
We regularly host and participate in a variety of community events and initiatives throughout the year. These efforts build community cohesion, create social value, and generate socio-economic benefits for both our developments and the wider communities we serve.
