We're thrilled to announce a major milestone on one of the largest schemes Strata has ever undertaken. Our Barnsley West project has officially received "resolution to grant permission" at the planning committee.
This is a historic moment for both Strata and Barnsley Council, as it's the biggest scheme the council has ever determined. This decision brings us one step closer to gaining full planning permission, with the next stage being the agreement of the Section 106.
Claire Linley, our Planning Director, shared her excitement about the news. "Receiving the positive decision at planning committee is a huge milestone for Strata. The team has worked incredibly hard over many years to get us to this point, and I'm very grateful to everyone who has been involved along the way. This will be a flagship scheme for Barnsley and Strata, bringing much-needed new homes to the Borough. On a personal note, this is the highlight of my career so far!"
